Home and School Committee
ESM has a very active Home and School Committee. Our H&S Committee is made up of dedicated parent volunteers, teachers and administrators. As a team, we raise funds to help support student learning through special opportunities such as class trips, unique classroom projects, Spring Fling, as well as school dances to name but a few. (Due to Covid-19, these wonderful fundraising activities have been put on hold until further notice from the Department of Health and/or HRCE.) Check out each month's meeting notes below. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend the monthly meetings and get involved!
What is Home and School?
Home and School is the East St. Margaret's Elementary Parents Association. Every parent and guardian is a member of the H&S and together, we use our collective talents and abilities to enrich educational programs for our children and foster a supportive community for our families.
We rely on the participation of ESM parents and guardians for all of its activities. Your involvement, no matter how big or small, is encouraged and appreciated.
What Does Home and School Do?
Home and School raises funds to support a broad range of programs and activities at ESM. Funds are raised through events such as dances, fundraisers, and the spring fling. The funds raised have been used to purchase resources and materials for the classrooms, cover the cost of fieldtrips and to supplement the skating and swimming programs.
How Do I Get Involved?
- Attend a meeting! Meeting times will be posted on this page, in the ESM Calendar and in the ESM newsletter
- Volunteer for an Event! Several times a year we request volunteers for specific events. Watch for notices in the above mentioned areas.
